Widely considered one of the best distillers post war for the entire region - the retired maverick of the Marquet family distilled and aged all of his family reserves without selling them throughout his career. Now when possible we get a chance to taste out of barrel at the cellars in Armagnac and choose a small allocation from a single cask, like this one. Aged for over thirty years the brandy has hit a mesmerizing balance where it tastes like a great rum and bourbon combined into one. The notes of salted caramel apple pie, lavender honey, aged tobacco and dark cocoa will leave you positively transfixed.
