Viamundi Raicilla

Because of the ubiquity of Tequila and partially due to its former illicit status, Raicillas are still largely misunderstood. The simplest way to put it is that they are essentially mezcals made in Jalisco. Most of the ones we've tasted tend to varying dramatically from a standard Oaxacan mezcal for example, but Viamundi aims to democratize the drinking experience and make artisanal categories like this accessible and interesting to all drinkers both in quality and price point. Like drinking the perfect split between a great tequila and mezcal, it is almost impossible to not love this flavor profile that hits on notes of ripe canteloupe, fresh limes, mint, apples and white pepper.
