Artichoke is the name of the game with this amaro and Faccia Brutto did not come to play with a perfect balance has been achieved between the earthy, spicy, and bitter notes at the base of the style. Bolstered with a touch higher ABV than the original Cynar and showcasing a more rounded spiced finish this is the perfect option for anybody looking to switch up a classic cocktail recipe just a touch. A recent favorite of mine is swapping it in for vermouth in a Kingston Negroni variation, but honestly this is an Amaro I could see myself sipping any day of the week on its own. While I can appreciate the classics, it is truly amazing to see the local brands producing at such high quality I can't help but switch up the options on my back bar!
