Prima Terra was born from the idea and passion and love for Cinque Terre in coastal Liguria. If you haven't been, put it on your list! Walter De Battè is one of the few young and idealistic wine growers and is known worldwide for the quality of his unique wines. Winegrowing has been in his family father back than he can trace. He started at a coop in the 1990s and became disenchanted by the DOC regulations and today intentionally bottles his wines without the appellation and many other regional measures. This is a blend of grapes planted on schistous soils and is very reminiscent of a northern Rhône wine.
