The Barbacarlo winery is located in Oltrepo Pavese in the southwest area of the region of Lombardy in northern Italy. The wines are singular, sometimes ferment dry and are relished for their individual nature - even bottle variation. Stay away from this red wine if you're less adventurous. his is a blend of local red grapes that were fermented naturally and then aged in large oak barrels before bottling. Complex, aromatic, inky, wild and full of character.
