Laurent Cazottes Jacques Lassaigne Aetius Marc de Champagne

Rare nectar indeed - the stunning Champagnes of Jacques Lassaigne estate have been dazzling wine lovers for decades with the precision and masterful expressions of terroir. These eaux-de-vie made in collaboration with another master - the great natural distiller Laurent Cazotte - may be the rarest thing yet from both. Distilled from chardonnay grapes grown organically on the Le Cotet lieu-dit and was rested for an extended elevage in glass demi-johns after being pot distilled. A sharp profile mirrors the razor like edge of the champagnes but then the brandy moves into a generous flavor profile that evoke great tequila of all things. Truly stunning. Precious little of this is made.
