When your natural cask strength bottling can come in at what in most cases would be a normal bottling abv (40.5% in this case), it says a lot about the effects of time and the style of spirit you are making. The naturally, better yet intentionally, low still proof for Armagnac is meant to retain as much of the flavor and character of the grapes as possible. And the slow, long (49 years! in this case) aging in the temperate climate of both humid and dry cellars allows this spirit to slowly and naturally come to the perfect proportion of complexity and balance. This incredibly rare brandy is detailed with incredible nuance and elegance.
