Believe it or not, the additons of tamarind and a melange of chiles to this batch of mezcal mainly serves to make it taste even more - mezcal-like. There is for certain a simmering heat and sweetness from the chiles in every note and the tamarind is present to but in a subtle complementary way. So what you get is a great mezcal with local ingredients of the land harvested from the same season making this a true spirit of terroir, greater than the sum of its parts. Superb.
