Staff Pick Notes

Finally, Domaine Tetta has made their arrival back to Astor all the way from Okayama, Japan! In this bottling, these magicians of nature have taken a popular Japanese table grape known as Aki Queen, which is a light colored red grape known for its large berries and delicious flavor, and transformed it into pure deliciousness in liquid form. Domaine Tetta's founder Ryuta Takahashi worked in the local limestone quarry industry until starting Tetta in 2009, inspired by a plot of abandoned vines nearby. His knowledge of the local geology and soil has helped immensely since Tetta's inception, and this wine is a testament to Southern Japan's blossoming wine oasis. Juicy red berries and tropical fruits abound in this bottle, with a hint of wild mint. This is a summer must try for fans of natural wine!
