Quinta do Infantado, Tawny Port

Quinta do Infantado has been family produced for over 100 years and this tawny is organic, single vineyard, and estate bottled. Ever wonder what the difference is between a ruby and a tawny port? Ruby port is aged in bottle, allowing it to retain is rich color and fruit flavors, while tawny ports age in cask allowing for oxidative notes and changes in color prior to bottling. No need to decant for sediment, this port is meant to be drunk right away with a slight chill. This is perfect for you “I want something a little sweet but not too sweet” folks as the house style is medium dry making it drier than other tawny ports. The fruit flavors mixed with toffee and coffee notes will pair well with strong cheeses, berry themed desserts, anything with vanilla and caramel notes, or on its own. Store in the fridge to keep in tasting fresh. $16.99

They also show their terroir quite clearly, and represent a great alternative to the modern fruit-driven style. Vinho Verde is Portugal’s most famous white wine. Literally translated as "green wine," it...
