"Fay" is a vineyard named after Nathan Fay, the founder of Stags' Leap Wine Cellars who, in 1961, had the foresight to plant Cabernet Sauvignon in what was then believed to be too cold an area. Aged for 23 months in French oak barrels, this wine is spiced and red-berried, with black plum fruit aromas. A very solid vintage that is meant for the cellar.
