Staff Pick Notes

Once upon a time in my early wine days of mostly inexpensive wines from Côtes-du-Rhône and dirt cheap mosel Riesling from a certain large warehouse wine store, I saved up enough money over a few months for a bottle of wine, which, at the time, was very expensive to me. This was what I spent my money on, and it does not disappoint to this day. Structured and dark fruited, but avoiding that over extracted "jammy" quality. Also, now that I am more experienced I recognize this wine as a fantastic value from California. This can hold its own with heavyweights such as Caymus, Cakebread, and Shafer but at half the price. Pair this with Beef Bourguignon.
