Staff Pick Notes

Prosecco and Franciacorta dominate the Italian sparkling wine conversation so this Cesarini Sforza Brut really took me by surprise. This is really quite delicious and a good price too. Franciacorta is great but the pricing, like with many wines, have gone up so the value compared to Champagne is just not there sometimes. Here you are getting Méthode Champenoise, made from 100% Chardonnay with 2 years plus of lees aging which give a wonder texture and depth of flavor.

It is a flexible, eager-to-please grape, responding well to just about anything a winemaker...
