The vineyard is special and benefits from a criss-crossing of cooling winds from the Ionian and Adriatic seas. Muscatedda is local name for the first vineyard that is harvested in Val di Noto. Utilizing the only native white grape from the area, Moscato di Noto, this is an example of the elegance the highly aromatic varietal can bring when utilized in a dry version. Aged in steel tanks with a continuous Battonage following the moon phases this is a wine that shows all the bright and elegant minerality of the Southern Sicilian region. Stone fruits and light thyme are explosive on the palate, and the textured finish of this wine screams for it to be cracked open to quench your thirst as the warm weather arrives. In a world filled with Grillo and Cattarato find yourself a Muscatedda and thank me later.
