This beautiful example of Orange / Natural wine comes to us from the estate of Gaetano and Nicoletta Gargano. But much credit is due to their close friend and fellow Umbrian, Giampiero Bea. With the knowledge and experience of his families work in Montefalco, Giampiero is bringing the same care and consideration to his viniculture and winemaking in Sicily. Produced from 100% estate grown Catarrato grape. The grapes are in contact with the skins for 2 to 3 weeks before a natural fermentation . Bottled without fining or filtration, the wine displays a vibrant orange hue. A balanced, black tea like bitterness sits along the gravelly mineral tone. Fruit qualities of nectarine and guava kept me captivated throughout.
