Staff Pick Notes

François Le Saint is a 10th-generation family estate located in the heart of Sancerre, with a focus on Sauvignon Blanc and the various soils that express the intricacies of this beautiful grape. This bottling showcases the pure chalk soils created from ancient limestone, which bring forth a vibrant minerality in addition to wonderful aromas and flavors of citrus and orchard fruits. The new generation has converted their vineyards to organic farming while utilizing biodynamic principles. Fermenting with native yeasts also brings a terroir-specific uniqueness to this wine, while minimal sulfur additions keep the vibrancy of this cuvée fully in focus. Overall, this is a tremendous example of Sancerre from one of the most historical families in the region who have tended these vines for over 100 years!

Some are fermented in barrel, others in stainless steel. Some...
