Staff Pick Notes

Are you looking for a unicorn wine? This wine has a unicorn on the label and is indeed a very magical juice: a Chenin Blanc fit for the consumption of the deities on Mount Olympus. Extremely aromatic, powerful, and delicious, this is a wine for the ages. Super-ripe stone fruits, tropical fruits, bouquets of flowers, baking spices, and beautiful acidity all meld together like one of Arachne's tapestries. While on the nose this is a dessert wine, about five seconds in it hits you that this is definitely a dry. It is labeled as a "Vin de France" as the AOC for Coteaux du Layon doesn't permit dry (sec or demi-sec) wines. This will age beautifully and would be a great candidate for cellaring.
