La Venenosa Puntas Raicilla

A spirit that defies everything you thought you knew about spirits. This is a little difficult to explain succinctly but before we begin I want to clarify that “puntas” are not the same as “heads” in distillation. Puntas consist of the upper portions of the “hearts” and the portion of the distillate separated right above them. Considered the choicest cut by most mezcaleros because of their intense flavour. This is a rare treat for those of us who aren't good friends with their favorite mezcalero. Clocking in at 63%abv this is no delicate flower but don't be fooled, this Racilla is elegant, subtle and enormously sophisticated. As far as texture… it feels much closer to 43% than 63%. A great treat for the seasoned mezcal lover looking to have their minds blown!
