Staff Pick Notes

Boundary Breaks is an iconic Finger Lakes winery with an exceptional vineyard site on the east shores of Lake Seneca. They are committed to the region's signature varietals, Riesling and Cab Franc, and make Rieslings in several styles. So what kind of Riesling is this? The Ovid Line North is "medium-dry", meaning there's an approachable bit of sweetness that balances nicely with the grape's naturally high acidity. You'll be greeted with an aromatic intensity, with notes of peaches, lychee, peach candy and honeysuckle, all underlined with a slaty minerality. This is a great choice for spicy food, grilled meats and veggies, anything that is intensely flavored with spice, umami, or fat. You can easily just enjoy a cool glass on a warm day as well!

They are careful to retain the delightful honeyed, flinty flavors that the best sweet Rieslings have always displayed. Alsace, of...
