Staff Pick Notes

A great varietal expression: a bold Cabernet Sauvignon with the typical aromas and flavors that you would expect from this grape variety. Black fruit, such as blackberry, dark cherry and plums. It has balance and secondary flavors without being overwhelming: tobacco, cedar and chocolate and what the experts call "pencil shaving". In other words it means minerality and earthiness. The tannins are very integrated. This wine well structured without being extremely complex. sometimes you don't need to drink something too complicated, you just want a good variety of flavors pleasing your mouth: Clos Fous is a great choice. Pair it with grilled meat, cheese or just sip it by itself!
