After going down to Barbados and hand selecting our own single barrels, we took it to the next level by collaborating with Mount Gay Master Blender for over 20 years, Allen Smith, to create our own once-in-a-lifetime exclusive blend. Looking to sneak in some of the harder to come by, heavier pot still rums to marry with the rich, smoky nature of the refurbished American whiskey barrels our blend harkens back to an Old School style of rum from this house that is no longer available. We could think of no better partner for a project like this than the oldest chartered rum house in the world. Notes include sweet esters, highly aromatic tropical fruits, almond croissants, Madagascar vanilla, fresh caramel, tamarind, Goji berries, and milk chocolate.
