Staff Pick Notes

Are you a fan of peach jam, candied citrus, or passion fruit? Do you like crème brûlée or caramelized sugar? If yes is the answer to any of these, then this bottle is a dream come true in liquid form. This lovely, small-production Sauternes made by a husband & wife team is predominantly Sémillon, with Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, and a bit of Muscadelle to round out the blend. While Sauternes can be quite rich, the acidity really carries the wine through its long & pleasurable finish. This lovely example is worthy of both immediate consumption and conversation, but also deserves a place in any serious collector's cellar.

For white Bordeaux, only three varieties are permitted: Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillion, and Muscadelle. The exact percentages of each grape variety used in any...
