Brooklyn Gin

Item # 26154 750 mL

A classic mix of dry botanicals such as juniper, coriander, and lavender are immediately apparent. However, it's the inclusion of several fresh citrus peels that really makes its mark on this gin. Using corn as a base spirit and bottled at a lower than typical proof, this gin has striking clarity. Completely distilled and bottled at Warwick distillery.

Staff Pick Notes

The world of gin is sometimes like drinking an apothecary. There are a few classic aromatics of course, but otherwise it can be a botanical free-for-all. I prefer more straightforward spirits with a limited number of additions because too many flavors simply confuse and overwhelm my palate. Case in point: Brooklyn Gin. You can always count on the tried and true combo of coriander, angelica, lavender, & juniper, though it's certainly worth noting that the juniper is hand-cracked to offer a less pine-y profile in this iteration. The citrus components may be my favorite, though. Lemon, lime and orange are always present, but depending on seasonal availability you may also detect kumquat, grapefruit, or pomelo. This gin is made in small batches after all, and the alternating variance adds to the fun! #DrinkNYspirits

Bordeaux varietals are at home in Long Island’s maritime climate. The Finger Lakes harbors a burgeoning winemaking community where many natural-inclined producers focus on dry still wines. No longer is our fair state synonymous with Concord grapes and Manischewitz; look for brilliant iterations of Pinot Noir, Riesling, Cabernet Franc,...
