Paumanok, Chenin Blanc - 2023

Item # 20041 750 mL

Reminiscent of some Loire Valley Chenin Blancs, this popular North Fork white is crisp and fruity with grapefruit, pineapple, and melon aromas. It's delightfully refreshing and ends with a zippy, lemony finish. An excellent companion to shellfish dishes.

Staff Pick Notes

This is simply one of the best white wines coming out of the Long Island. Nobody else makes a Chenin Blanc either! Crisp, dry, fragrant, and slightly giving on the palate this wine will please. In terms of what to eat while enjoying this wine could be grilled cod with mushroom sauce, pan seared scallops, or Alaskan King Crab! A family owned and operated winery with the second generation in charge, they remain dedicated to creating high quality wines. I've known the wines and winemaker for years now and have always been consistently impressed.

These days, one of the most exciting stories is in South Africa, where newly adopted winemaking technologies have helped a dedicated group of producers to bring the country's dry...
