Staff Pick Notes

Lioco has been producing beautiful low intervention wines since 2005 throughout 4 counties in California. With a focus on old world styles and the more restrained Californian wines of the 80's the delicate nature of each expression shines through. This Pinot Noir is utilizing a mix of multiple clones including Pommard, 777, 667, and Martini and is sourced from across the Mendocino county. With bright acidity and lingering flavors of black raspberry, and noticeable dried tobacco and thyme character thanks to the 10% whole cluster addition this is a wine you can keep coming back to. Distinctively Californian in all the best ways.

California

California makes more wine than any other state in the United States. Not only does the state grow a variety of noble grape varieties like Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, there are also plantings of lesser-known varieties such as Nebbiolo, Roussanne and Mourvèdre to name just a few.
