Staff Pick Notes

In 2007, Morgan Twain-Peterson began his winemaking project in the backyard of a friend's house. He found a few local vineyards in the area that would supply him. He’s since expanded to his winery in Sonoma. His ambition has always been to showcase great, old vineyards that often needed rehabilitation. Bedrock now works with over 20 vineyards from Central to Northern California (many of which are now owned by Bedrock). This old vine Zinfandel is a product of 9 of these vineyards. The vines average 80 years of age. This is a substantial wine, with powerful aromatics and density on the palate. You may note some flavors of cassis, raisins, black pepper, and smoke. It is definitely a mouthful that would go great with your next braised short ribs.

Dry and well-drained terroirs are also preferable for Zinfandel, as its bunches are...
