I opened this last month to celebrate a special occasion and it was just marvelous. Huet is one of the masters of classic Loire Chenin Blanc. This Vouvray glistens with glorious notes of honeysuckle, stone fruit, ginger, and green apple. Waxy and honeyed, it's got subtle yet inviting floral aromas, spot-on acidity, a touch of cool minerality, and the slightest kiss of sweetness to seal the deal. Let it also be your introduction to Huet's wonderful selection of dry, demi-sec, pétillant, and moëlleux wines. My only regret is that I only got one bottle of this Clos du Bourg. Don't make the same mistake as me! Enjoy one now and hang on to another for a while as this is one fabulous, age-worthy Chenin.
