Staff Pick Notes

With experience spanning 40 years among wineries such as Château Lafite-Rothschild and Ridge Vineyards, Michael and Anne Dashe have been producing excellent wines together since 1996. Their cuvées key in on small, steep hillside vineyards with older vines throughout Sonoma and Mendocino counties. Crafting wines with a balance of traditional and natural winemaking techniques from use of indigenous yeasts, little to no fining/filtering and small-lot fermentation, Dashe Cellars has a meticulous yet friendly approach in their wines. This Zinfandel is a beautiful blend of select vineyard fruit aged in French oak with ripe concentrated dark fruit flavors, pronounced floral aromatics and an array of herbs on the finish including rosemary and sage. A wine with lots of heft, this will pair well for all the summer barbeques to come.

Dry and well-drained terroirs are also preferable for Zinfandel, as its bunches are...
