Bench from Brack Mountain

Out of Sonoma County comes a production of boutique wines from Brack Mountain Winery. This Pinot Noir is sourced primarily from the Sangiocomo Amaral Ranch Vineyard, whose deep valley floors transition into steep, rocky soils. This benchland soil helps to produce wines with sultry dark fruit flavors and lean, luscious structure comparable to wines of Burgundy. Aromas of strawberry, raspberry, fig and delicate florals entice the nose while blackberry, cranberry and pomegranate ease onto the palate. This Pinot Noir boasts vibrant acidity and fine tannins backed by a well-rounded, muscular texture and weight, making it great for roasted meats and rich sauces. Much like a well-built bench, this wine has a strong foundation, provides nice balance and is a nice reprieve to simply enjoy.

California

California makes more wine than any other state in the United States. Not only does the state grow a variety of noble grape varieties like Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, there are also plantings of lesser-known varieties such as Nebbiolo, Roussanne and Mourvèdre to name just a few.
