Staff Pick Notes

A friend called to ask if I could pour for him at the 25th Annual Colorado Springs Wine Festival this past March because he’d fallen ill. Of course I could. That’s how I came upon the Tres Picos. Everyone who tasted it came back for more, and it is, quite literally, a crowd pleaser. Bright red fruit, smooth, approachable tannins, easy, and fresh. Tres Picos is Old Vine Garnacha produced in the extreme climate of Zaragoza, Spain. Whether it’s to be drunk on its own or paired with a spicy BBQ, it will hold its own. Enjoy it at your own festival!
