Mezcasiarca Astor Select Garrotudo Single Batch Mezcal - 2024

Simply put this is one of the rarest things we've ever bottled. The agave itself is something of a mystery even to families and producers in the region and while definitely in the karwinskii family, takes on a profile completely its own. Batches solely comprised of Garrotudo are extremely rare. Named for the sharp thorn like features that run along the edge of the pinas long skinny spine making them resemble a lethal club, the mezcals they produce are instead opulent, elegant and deeply detailed with an almost surreal amount of refinement.
