This special, limited edition series brings together the fine art of photography through the work of pioneering photo agency Magnum Photos, and the art of distillation via a one-off selection of some of the finest and most artisanal spirits in the world. For series two the work featured are original creations from Alex Webb, an agency photographer since 1979.
Clarendon Distillery is a significant producer of Jamaican rum,located in the south of the island, and is part of the state-run National Rums of Jamaica. Its history is rooted in the Monymusk Sugar Estate, with the distillery itself being built in 1949. The distillery is a major supplier for global spirits companies. Using both pot and column stills, Clarendon is known for its ability to produce a wide range of molasses-based rums, from the lightest
to the heaviest, which are categorized by a system of marks.This bottling was produced on a column still and is an example of Clarendon’s MBS mark.
Full and distinguished, long and complex with notes of anise, toasted coconut, cardamom, ginger, pineapple, tobacco and gentian root.
