Maybe our personal favorite of our selections from Willett this year, the depth, complexity and distinctiveness are carved into every angel and drop of this whiskey as you'd expect from something this old. But more than anything we oily, almost cloud-like seamless texture is unlike anything else we've ever tasted in American Whiskey. A perfect foil for the buoyant flavors of maraschino cherries, dark chocolate, black truffle, licorice and allspice. Absolutely unforgettable.

Staff Pick Notes

After a 10 year pause on offering Willett single barrels, Master Distiller Drew Kulsveen offered us literally one of the very first casks they filled when Willett started re-distilling in 2012. This iconic barrel number 143,  which is some of the oldest spirit from the distillery to date, already makes it one of the iconic Bourbons in our entire whiskey portfolio, as liquid of this age and pedigree stopped being produced by Willett after their stills were silenced in the early 1980s.  Distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2025 at 120.4 proof, nothing hides from your palate, and that is a good thing!  Arguably the most complete single barrel of Willett I have had in the modern era, it incorporates all of the hallmark Willett flavors of vanilla bean, brown sugar, caramel, & honey with a signature floral herbal spice that lingers on your palate.
