Wild Turkey 81 Bourbon Whiskey

This is one of the most underrated American whiskies on our shelves. Filling a void that was long held by Buffalo Trace, the quality of this bourbon for this price tier is unmatched. Sweet liquid caramel, butterscotch, and cinnamon candy are the first things you notice, followed by red delicious apples, yellow peaches, and nectarines. The palate is dry yet mouth-watering, with flavors of orange peel, oak spice, and clove. After a few minutes in the glass, the veil is pulled back and more layers start to appear. A steal of a whiskey from a heritage brand.
