Our oldest and rarest selection of Fiji rum to date.A very old vintage single cask from the sole distiller left on this almost mythical island. Isolated in the South Pacific, the rums made here bring together the best of both extremes in rum styles. Their 100% pot still rums are amongst the most desirable in the world. And because they do not release their own direct distillery commercial bottlings, getting direct access to tropically aged stocks is near non-existent. That is why not only are we thrilled to offer this single cask we selected aged just under 17rys ! - with a full 15 years of tropical aging on Fiji and 1yr 9 month finish in ex-cognac French Oak in France. Bottled with zero additives and a powerful natural cask strength of 65.5% abv the rum explodes with flavors of wild banana, dried strawberries, Manuka honey, layers of complex spices and streak of pepper. The value here is truly unthinkable.

But when this reaches heights of 131 proof at natural cask strength, get ready to have your mind and palate blown! Factor in the near 17 year age statement here (16y 9m) with 15 full years of tropical aging in Fiji, and things cannot get any more authentic than this Astor barrel. Out of the bottle the funky esters welcome your first experience, but when the rum hits your palate all of the other caramelized fruits, spices, & toffee come forward in abundance! At its price this may be the best dollar for dollar experience available!
