Founded by 2 friends in 2016 in South Africa’s boundary-pushing Swartland, the company strives to make great wines, promote exploration, and contribute to meaningful social impact at every level. They truly embrace sustainability and boast more certifications to that effect than I can count. Their “Rainboat” is so much fun. Sourced from a single vineyard and composed entirely of Cinsault, this pétillant naturel embodies a non-interventionist philosophy. It implores you to come along for the ride! There is a very healthy fizz in the glass, coupled with notes of almond and fleshy orchard fruits. This is perfection with crispy and salty snacks, especially croquetas de jamón y manchego.
