Although Glenlossie is a storied distillery with an elaborate history dating back to the 19th century, it is one of the least often sighted malts out there, even from independents. But we know that the old school style whisky they make there is a treasure too rarely found on its own and when small amounts surface, you need to grab them up before they disappear again into your favorite blends. Refill sherry tempered perfectly by the gentler extraction but giving hogshead format make sure the brilliant distillery character including flamed orange peel, cinnamon laced porridge and coconut flakes remain the focus of this layered, mouth-watering decadent dram. Very limited.
