Château de Pellehaut Astor Select 33yr. Ténarèze Armagnac - 1990

The high point on the hill as the name of this revered family owned estate implies, refers to their ideal positioning in this small, historic and sought after cru in Armagnac. It had been years since we had the chance to stop by and work on a collaboration so for this effort we asked if we could bottle something extra special and old and unsurprisingly they over delivered. Well into its third decade at this point, this single cask also stands out for the robust abv. at this age for Armganac in particular, giving wings to the soaring flavors of banana walnut bread, maple syrup, dates, vanilla infused chocolate and baking spices.
