Staff Pick Notes

This little can of white wine has got a license to thrill--me, at the very least. I really appreciate the convenience of canned wine, so this one really caught my attention. Muscadet has become very pricey these days, like so many things, so when this little guy showed up at $3.96, I had to try. Dry and crisp, this one goes down easy and quick. Such a treat and not just for summer.

Glossary

Loire

There’s a lot to remember when it comes to the Loire. Novices, take note: Cabernet Franc is a great alternative to Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscadet is unparalleled as a companion to shellfish, and Cour Cheverny is the best white wine appellation you’ve never heard of. As diverse as Loire wines are, one day soon you'll know your Melon de Bourgogne from your Romorantin.
