Staff Pick Notes

Allow me to introduce you Amaro Oropa from Rapa Giovanni. The Amaro that I would have to call my "Best in Show' for the past year. Produced by Liquorificio Rapa in Piedmont, Italy. Amaro Oropa feels very familiar, with pronounced notes of sasparilla, clove and cedar. The body of this Amaro is tantalizing with the base spirit used here distilled from molasses. Botanicals notes will include peppermint, citrus, gentian and ginger. The sip is developed and cola like in its inviting richness. Yet this amaro does not lack in subtlty as the smooth alpine notes of Piedmonte linger on the long and subtle finish.
