Chichibu Astor Select Single Cask Japanese Whisky

One of the first ever exclusive single casks released in the States by this cult distiller. If you are familiar with this distiller's obsession with detail when it comes to production you'll already know some of the hallmarks that distinguish them, from the exclusive use of 100% Mizunara washbacks, their custom stills and in-house master cooper and wood management program. What you get across the board are whiskies that are quality oriented, detailed and deeply complex and singular. From spirit distilled in 2016, our exclusive selection was aged entirely in a single Virgin American Oak Cask for 6yrs. Bottled at a natural cask strength, the whisky is focused with deep notes of spicy cinnamon, flambeed banana, grilled peach, aged tobacco, chile infused dark chocolate, ginger cake and espresso. Only 209 bottle total yield.
