An extremely rare full proof single cask rum from the nearly mythical island of Fiji. It's not as if the rums from the sole distiller on this remote South Pacific island weren't rare and hard enough to come by - but that is increasingly even more the case. That is why when we get a chance to buy anything from them, even more so extremely special vintage single casks like this one - we will never miss the opportunity to get this onto all of our customer's home bars. 100% pot distilled from local molasses in 2009 and aged for a full 14yrs - 9yrs tropical aging on Fiji and 5yrs in a French Oak Cognac cask in France. Bottled exclusively for us as a single cask at cask strength. The rum itself is at once explosive and extremely elegant striking the perfect balance between tropical decadence, funky heavy captivating pot still notes, and serious whisky-like structure all with a streak of smokiness you'll never forget.
