Planteray Cut & Dry Natural Coconut Rum

Few things go together as well as lightly aged rum and ripe coconuts. It is one of the quintessential images that is conjured when one thinks of the sunkissed Caribbean. However, like most 'flavored,' rums in general, there are too many bad versions for each good one. Thankfully in the hands of Maison Ferrand and their historic West Indies Distillery on the coast of Barbados you have nothing to fear. The stroke of genius that was Planteray Pineapple, is repeated here with ripe coconuts, harvested by local farmers and left to naturally dry, concentrating their flavors before they are infused into the rum. That's it! Bottled at 40% abv the palate on this rum is not sweet or full of sugar either making it even more versatile to mix with or sip on the rocks. Highly recommended.
