Staff Pick Notes

Perfect Day is inspired by Lou Reed's song of the same name, in which the simple pleasures of life are summed up in a perfect day. Composed of Muskat Ottonel, Sauvignon Blanc, Grüner Veltliner, Traminer, Sämling. All grapes were harvested and vinified separately, then matured for more than half a year in used barriques on the full lees. The varieties are brought together only shortly before bottling with no filtering or addition of sulphur. 'Perfect Day' is refreshing but complex with charming hints peaches and orange blossom. A fine and balanced acidity help this wine to linger on the pallet like sunset on the water. Oh, it's such a perfect day. I'm glad I spent it with you. You just keep me hanging on.
