A powerful Chianti from the Colli Fiorentini hills of Tuscany. The grapes were hand harvested, fermented with native yeasts and aged for nearly a year in old oak barrels. The fruit is a mix of dark berries, plush on the palate with a tannic structure and freshness that makes this a little too drinkable. Pair this red wine with rigatoni Fiorentini.

As the name suggests, Colorino is prized for the deep color it adds to wines; it's capably of providing some sturdy tannins as well. It has long been an ingredient in Chianti.
