Chichibu 2023 US Edition Single Malt Japanese Whisky

Wow a head turning stunner of a dram and maybe the most interesting yet of all the US editions. The core of the whiskey is centered around a batch of heavily peated malt that has been aged primarily in heavily toasted virgin French Oak casks along with Mizunara hogsheads, chibi daru quarter casks and ex-sherry all in the mix. Limited to only 14 exceptional casks aged 4-7yrs and 2,640 bottles total. The one-off artwork depicts Commodore Perry enjoying a dram of Chichibu in front of the US Capitol and the famous Japanese Cherry blossoms gifted from Tokyo in 1909. The whisky itself is another showcase in a style and range of flavors that could only have been produced by this special distillery.
