Russell's Reserve Astor Select Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey - 2013

We handpicked this single cask on-site in Kentucky with Bruce Russell and a special guest appearance by none other than Jimmy Russell himself. Given the option, we blind tasted through the couple of dozen barrels, not wanting to be influenced by where the barrels came from or their age. We were more than pleased when we realized we chose the oldest whiskey in the lot, aged in the extremely highly sought after Camp Nelson, Rickhouse B, 5th Floor. The barrel itself was filled on May 2nd, 2013 and bottled on October 10th, 2023. Easily one of the best we have ever bottled from this iconic producer. These will go extremely fast.
