Merab Matiashvili has renovated his ancestral home and winery following's The Republic of Georgia's independence. In the Kakhetian village of Jugaani, he has revived his grandfather's vineyards. This dry, dark, full-bodied red wine is made entirely from Saperavi. Aged on the skins in qvevri, this has dark black fruit and earth aromas. Pair with chanakhi lamb stew.
