Daiyame Traditional Japanese Shochu

One of the great distilleries of Japan is finally availble in the US. Founded in 1868, the distillery is based in Kagoshima in the south of Japan where the climate has a stronger tropical influence and the famous satsuma imo (white japanese sweet potatoes) thrive. The confluence of the terroir, the superior raw materials and obsessive quality control of the distillers makes this one of the top schochus out there. Standing out for its unmistakable and infectious tropical lychee and rose aromas and flavors this can be used in many cocktails but simply prepared with sparkling water as a highball makes a perfect drink every time. We can't get enough! Absolutely zero added flavors, the schochu is also gluten free.
