Item # 48502 375 mL

A classically styled dry white wine which the estate divides by subsoil. This expression, Terre Blanche, is the most round and medium-bodied. Domaine Buissonnes is n its 5th generation. This is a smoky, citrus-laden aromatic wine that will pair well with prawn salad.

Staff Pick Notes

Roger Naudet Domaine des Buissonnes is a family run estate located in the village of Sury en Vaux. This estate makes this "Terre Blanche" bottling named after the famed Kimmeridgian Soil, a mix of limestone and clay made eons ago, where ancient sea creatures died and settled at the bottom of an ancient seabed. Those animals fossilized and left us with soils rich in calcium carbonate from their ancient shells. Wines grown on this soil are characterized as having high minerality and a slight, flinty smokiness. This wine does not disappoint for Sancerre lovers. While many producers are pumping out characterless Sauvignon Blanc from this region, Buissonnes is a point of difference, maintaining the sharp citrus and mineral driven style which made Sancerre famous in the first place. A true gem!

Some are fermented in barrel, others in stainless steel. Some...
